Who am I?
My name is Varre, but my friends call me V. I currently reside in the Chicagoland area and have been making art since I could hold a pencil. Thank the gods my art has improved since then. I started V6 Studios almost 20 years ago now, and am a regular at Anime Central in Rosemont Convention Center every year.
I love to draw in many mediums from painting on canvas to painting digitally on my computer which is much less messy. When I am painting, I prefer to paint on black canvas, because I love how the bright paints pop off of the dark background. I also love to use watercolor markers on bristol boards, and Prisma color pencils to draw with. Looking for a tattoo design? While I do not tattoo actively anymore, I DO still take commissions for tattoo art done in regular pencils. This can be purchased as just the line art or a piece that is completely shaded in grey scale or color. The choice is yours. Speaking of commissions, yes I do take them but on a one on one basis. This is so I can put all of my time and thought into your piece without the stress of having another project looking over my shoulder. (The thing looking over my shoulder is usually my cat, and trust me, he is one tough boss. He cracks the whip whenever I slack off.)
Commissions are sent one of 2 ways. I can either send you a high resolution digital image that you can take to anywhere that does printing to have the work made. If you need a specific size I will need to know in advance, otherwise my pieces are done a 12x18 template. If you would like me to print your digital commission for you I can get that done and mail it between cardboard to have it off to you safely. The same goes for custom canvas arts. They are all packed and shipped carefully. I don’t want my art to get damaged any more than you do!!
Commissions are priced on a one on one basis, depending on level of complexity and number of characters. I do original characters as well as those from movies, TV, music, etc. Just contact me by email and I will be happy to discuss pricing with you. First off? Hey, I never claimed I wasn’t a little bit Negan at heart…but I promise not to use Lucille on you unless you hate everyone for their race, religious, creed, and or sexual prefs. Then you deserve her. For real. In the skull. <3 If I have learned anything in the last few years its this, and Im 45 now. I’m old so trust me on this shit. I can say Im old and uh…wise. Yeah. I’m a fuckin’ sage. Know this though. Love may burn and fuckin try to kill you and devour you into a darkness where the damn Krakken lives, but in the end love wins. You find it when you aren’t even looking. and it pulls you under like a tidal wave, and thats a ride I wanna surf on, not run from.
